Nicole Ari Parker was born in New York City. The actress is American stage and film actress. Her most famous role is as Teri an ardent attorney Teri Jospehson in the Showtime show Soul Food. Contractor was cast in her first show after a year of university. The year 2002 was a great one for her. Canadian reviewers praised her performance in 92 performances of the play. She was offered the opportunity to be a part of the Stratford Conservatory. The school accepts only eight men and four women for a crash course in classical theatre. Contractor was eager to accept. Contractor's participation in the next season of plays was confirmed, and she got the part in Hermia in A Midsummer Night's Dream.
