She was born on the 29th of March, 1985 in Roswell New Mexico. Gerina Michel Mendoza is her birthname. Gerina Stevenson, the Mexican son of Rita Stevenson Stevenson and Alan Stevenson Stevenson, was born in Mexico. Stevenson is of Mexican roots, yet is American as a national. From the time she was little she's always been interested to play sports. Gerina started to play golf at age 15 years old. Gerina was a student at Goddard High School for her studies in high school. She was the winner of New Mexico's state golf tournament. Also, she was a volleyball player who competed at the national level. She entered the University of Texas, Texas in 2003. She was the only winner of all events she took part in throughout her senior years. In her college career, she received the honor of being named Conference USA individual champion player for the season and the UTEP Female Athletics Player of the Year.
